Foxboro, Mass. — WC Swans Gold 2010 and TeamONE 16U skated to a 1-1 tie on Friday afternoon in a closely contested matchup. After a scoreless opening period, both teams found the back of the net in the second, with TeamONE 16U answering WC Swans Gold 2010’s early breakthrough to earn the draw.

Neither team was able to break through during the opening period as the game remained scoreless through the first 20 minutes.
WC Swans Gold 2010 opened the scoring at the 5:32 mark of the second period when Gianna Samalis found the back of the net to give her team a 1-0 advantage. Tatum Pagos was credited with the assist on the play.
The lead held for much of the period before TeamONE 16U responded late in the frame. At the 13:11 mark, Molly Drevitch scored the equalizer, knotting the game at 1-1.
With the score even, both teams continued to battle through the remainder of regulation, but neither side was able to find a go-ahead goal.
The teams finished deadlocked at 1-1, earning one point apiece in a hard-fought Women’s Chowder Cup matchup.
