FOXBORO –Powered by an offensive second period, FCA Hockey posted a 7-1 win over Mole HC National in the U19 division on Day 2 of the 2024 Women’s Chowder Cup.
A Lily Jorgenson goal in the first sent the game to the second with FCA ahead by a slim 1-0 margin. Things then got interesting in the second as FCA exploded for five to put the game away.
Jorgenson had another while FCA also got goals from Molly Hockett, Makenna Aure, Avery Olson and Tayler Treat in the middle frame.
Mole cut into their deficit on an Emmy Lyholm goal in the third, but FCA still had one more to score as Morgan Aure capped off the scoring and the 7-1 final.
Jorgenson (2G, 1A) also contributed an assist to finish with a game-high three points. Treat and Makenna Aure also had multipoint contests, each with a goal and an assist for the victors.
Taylor Blaise and Rachel Mohr split the victorious duties in the FCA goal cage.
