Foxboro, Mass. — Hallzy Films 19U scored in both periods and held off a late push from Jr. Panthers to earn a 2-1 victory in quarterfinal action on Sunday morning.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
Hallzy Films 19U struck first late in the opening period when Ella Pukala found the back of the net at 21:24, giving her team a 1-0 advantage heading into the break.
Jr. Panthers answered less than a minute later. At 21:53, Lily Pratt scored to even the game at 1-1 and send the teams into the second period deadlocked.
The deciding goal came early in the second frame. Madi Guilfoyle scored at 4:13 to put Hallzy Films 19U back in front, and that lead would stand the rest of the way.
Jr. Panthers continued to battle throughout the remainder of the game, but Hallzy Films 19U held firm defensively to secure the 2-1 win and advance to the U19 semifinals.
