Foxboro, Mass. — North American Elite 19U erased an early deficit and scored twice in the second period before Hallzy Films 19U responded with a pair of third-period goals, as the teams skated to a 3-3 draw on Saturday morning. The back-and-forth contest featured multiple lead changes and remained undecided through the final whistle.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
Hallzy Films 19U opened the scoring at the 6:45 mark of the first period when Talia Martucci found the back of the net off an assist from Keira Twomey, giving Hallzy a 1-0 lead.
North American Elite answered later in the period. At 10:24, Katherine Geswell tied the game with Sasha Mitchell and Kimee Duplessis earning assists on the play.
North American Elite carried that momentum into the second period and moved in front just 2:36 into the frame when Kimee Duplessis scored off an assist from Natasha Godfrey.
The lead grew later in the period as Gaby Smith scored at the 11:00 mark. Brooke Carlson and Godfrey were credited with assists, helping North American Elite take a 3-1 advantage into the third.
Hallzy Films 19U responded early in the final period. At 3:06, Anna Monette cut the deficit to one goal with Ella Pukala picking up the assist.
The equalizer came just over four minutes later when Pukala scored at 7:25 off a setup from Monette, evening the score at 3-3.
The score remained level through the final minutes, leaving the teams deadlocked at 3-3 when the final horn sounded.
