FOXBORO – The WC Swans (Gold) scored a big win on Saturday afternoon at the Foxboro Sports Center. They defeated SHC in U19 College Prospects division play at the 2025 Women’s Chowder Cup.
After a first period that saw the Swans escape with just a 1-0 advantage thanks to a goal credited to Hayley McNeal, the game took a different tone in the second.
The Swans offense popped for four in the middle frame to give themselves some distance from SHC. It was a 5-0 lead that grew to 7-0 in the third before SHC broke up the shutout with an Ella Blaise score at 8:55 of the third period.
Six different Swans finished with multiple entries on the scoresheet. McNeal (2G, 1A) and Rissa Lafferty (3A) led the contest with three points apiece, while Teagen Beigel (2G), Becca White (2G), Ruth Chen (2A) and Geena Cookinham (2A) each finished with two.
