Foxboro, Mass. — One goal was all WC Swans Gold 19U needed on Sunday as they earned a 1-0 victory over WC Swans Black 19U in quarterfinal action to secure a spot in the semifinals.

The game remained scoreless for much of the opening period as both teams battled through a tightly contested defensive matchup.
With just over a minute remaining in the frame, Brooklyn Gagne broke the deadlock, scoring at 18:58 to give WC Swans Gold 19U a 1-0 lead.
That goal proved to be the difference. WC Swans Gold 19U carried the advantage through the remainder of the game, holding off several pushes from WC Swans Black 19U to preserve the shutout.
Strong defensive play and timely goaltending helped Gold 19U close out the victory and advance to the semifinals.
