FOXBORO – The WC Swans ’06 got their second day at the 2022 Women’s Chowder Cup started in fine fashion on Saturday morning at the Foxboro Sports Center. They put a 7-0 hurt on Ice Works U16.
Swans’ offense came out kicking in the first half, posting three goals in the frame to pace their victory. As good as they may have been in the first, however, the Swans upped their game in the second half, more than doubling their goal total. Their 3-0 halftime lead becoming a 7-0 victory by game’s end.
Each of the seven goals in the contest came from a different player, while four Swans were credited with multiple points. Lexi Morris (1G, 2A), Betsy Bertonassi (1G, 2A), Catie Lee (1G, 1A) and Kailley Hannon (1G, 1A) each with multiple entries on the scoresheet.
Brooklyn Goodman and Lizzy Jacobson split the victorious netminding duties for the Swans.
