FOXBORO – The Lady Whalers started off their slate of play at the 2022 Women’s Chowder Cup with a victory on Friday afternoon at the Foxboro Sports Center. They defeated the WC Swans 3-0.
It was one in the first and two in the second for the Whalers offense to set the victory. Jane Daley notched the game’s first goal. Mary Derrenbatcher assisted on that first goal before going on to score both the Whalers’ second half goals.
Nicole Bethune was credited with the first shutout of the tournament.
