FOXBORO – The Performance Hockey Group U19 took home the win in their final preliminary round game at the 2023 Women’s Chowder Cup when they defeated Swanologies 3-0 on Saturday at the Foxboro Sports Center.
It was a strong start for Performance as Sasha Goldberg scored twice in the first for a 2-0 lead that lasted until deep in the third period. While Goldberg did the bulk of the scoring on the offensive end of the ice for Performance, netminder Jaelynn Bucinell was an anchor on the defensive end, turning aside everything Swanologies brought her way in posting her second shutout of the tournament.
A power play goal by Caoilin Thomason with just minutes remaining in the third closed out the scoring on Performance’s 3-0 win.
