FOXBORO – With the opening round of play at the 2023 Women’s Chowder Cup wrapping up on Saturday, Preformance Hockey Group and the CT Jr. Eagles both wrapped up their U16 slate playing to a 1-1 tie in an afternoon tilt at the Foxboro Sports Center.
Defense and goaltending dominated the scoresheet as goaltenders Amy Wang for Performance Hockey and the Eagles’ Natalie Spaeth led the charge for their respective side.
Each goaltender only crossed up once to yield a score to their foe. Spaeth blinked first, giving up a score to Emily Bowen in the first. Wang surrendered a goal to Rylee Welch in the second to round out the 1-1 draw.
