FOXBORO – After dropping a 3-2 decision earlier in the day to the CT Jr. Eagles, the WC Swans ’08 rallied Friday afternoon to earn a 3-2 victory of their own when they defeated the Cape Cod Kraken U16 at the Foxboro Sports Center.
Special teams got the Swans going early in the first, a Courtney Shifrin power play goal making it 1-0.
The two sides traded goals later in the first and then again in the second to bring about the 3-2 final. There were three different goals scorers for the Swans, while Brooke Cutler lead the offense with a pair of assists.
Sophia Boucher and Ava Grennel were credited with the goals for the Kraken, while Kenzie Ayou was credited with the win in the Swans net.
